C&J's are hard

Max rounds in 20 minutes:

15 power clean & jerks
500m row

Score: 1 round + 11 C&J

Row Time: 1:40

C&Js at 135 lbs are hard. 15 of them in a row is really hard.

I thought it was really good. The heavy C&J and the fast row was an interesting juxtaposition. But then, I am naive. What would you suggest and why?

it depends on what you want to train.

crossfit worships at the grail of power. i think your power output for the workout was low and uneven. it was high for the rows and low for the c&j because of the amount of rest required.

oly lifts are great at making people fast and powerful so the key is fast bar speed. i doubt that at the end of your sets your bar speed was fast. in addition, they are very technical. it would be hard to do them in a fatigued state. i would have coupled the rowing with db excerises which are less technical.

another alternative would be one set of heavy c&j at the beginning when you are fresh and explosive then a row circuit.

i think your power output would be higher and more even.
